These are the Positional Averages of RAWS40 i use to generate my Points Over or Under Positional Average. I only use players that have played over 20 minutes because I feel Win Score can be gamed by being overly efficient (If you get used against the opposing bench, while being a standard player, you are going to look like a rock star.). I should be using the averages of more than two years but…well.
A few analytical points
1. Pure point guard averages have decreased. It could mean there are less pure point guards than before or that they don’t do as well anymore.
2. Combo Guards have increased significantly. Reflects the state of the NBA
3. Shooting guards have gone down. Again. See Two.
4. On Average, the 2011 season (2012 Draft) saw weaker production than its 2011 counterparts with the exception of the pure power forward position. That too fits with the current state of the NBA.
This is the average of the two years. Going forward, I will probably use these as my base when calculating Position Adjusted Win Scores.
for now, I will be suing these.
